Annual Balloon Fiesta
Hands down, one of the best things about living in New Mexico is getting to enjoy the week long Annual Balloon Fiesta. The event brings visitors from all over the world. For one week the clear blue Albuquerque skies are painted with hundreds of colorful balloons of all shapes and sizes. Some community favorites include the multi-colored rainbow patterns and special shape balloons such as the kissing bumblebees, the horse and carriage, the purple two-story haunted house and the Darth Vader helmet. Needless to say, the morning drive to work for this entire week is absolutely breathtaking!
Canyon Gate is truly blessed to have an office that is located approximately one to two miles from the Balloon park so every morning is a front row seat. This year, the most enjoyable morning occurred towards the end of the festival when several balloons used open space in front of the Canyon Gate office to launch their balloons!
